Sanskars and present situation

It is in continuation to another post titled “Antim Sanaskar in present Situation” for which I received whole-heartedly response from my community brothers and well-wishers. However, I was expecting more responses from our community personalities, who are working at different levels and platforms. I personally approached some of them for their valuable suggestions and I am in anticipation. It is the responsibility of every Kashmiri Pandit that our cultural heritage, rituals, Dharma and language should be flourished and preserved.

Some people wanted to know how this idea came to my mind. I simply told them because of COVID19 coronavirus, whole world is under lockdown. As I explained in my previous post that many people approached me for Kriya, which was not possible because of COVID19 coronavirus threat.  I shared the list of ‘Samagri’ with them and somehow, they could manage it. Then I did pooja through mobile video call and they were very satisfied by the pooja and Arti.

Some people also expressed their reservations that up to pandemic it’s good to do pooja through video mobile or internet computer. But why after that, as it is not the alternative. Yes, I too agree with them. Then what is the alternative? Our new generation aren’t coming forward to learn holy books and Pooja pa-dati and Pooja Mantras. We people cannot remain here in this world for ever. Everyone has to go one day or the other. These days some Kriya’s are not being done to our satisfaction due to some unavoidable reasons, but we adjust and compromise.

I have been blessed by Swami Laxman Ji, as I am connected with Ishwar Ashram Trust Delhi, for a very long period. All religious ceremonies are performed by me at the Ashram in Delhi. I always feel happy to perform pooja there because of Prof ML Kukloo’s good nature and knowledge. As you all know that he is a well-known figure in our community.  He has written number of books in Sanskrit and has also presented so many lectures on Shavism. Recently he wrote ‘Vedamrit’ (वेदामृत), it is a complete book on Havan as per our Kashmiri Vidhi.

Recently his wife passed away and I did her all the Karma Kand pooja. Prof ML Kukloo praised me as usual. He always says, that the Guru Ji is very important, as he is the sailor for our boat in this (Bavsagar) material world. He should be well versed, learned and trained, because we all are riding in his boat. If he is incapable and untrained, we all are at risk. He says in Kashmir we had our KulGuruji, but here we need Kashmiri Karm-Kandi Bramaji who can liberate the departed soul and equally cross us from the world.

As it is written in Bhagwat Geeta Ji-

(श्रेयान्स्वधर्मो विगुणः परधर्मात्स्वनुष्ठितात्।स्वधर्मे निधनं श्रेयः परधर्मो भयावहः).

One should die according to his own dharma, rather than another’s prescribed Dharma.

(Here it means, birth and death are auspicious in one’s own dharma.)

In fact, at the time of Antim Sanskar, no one can replace Guruji. Sometimes Gurujis aren’t available or put forth some conditions. We need some help immediately, in these emergency situations. In fact, today mobile and computer is an accomplishment which is the day of science. In this situation Antim Kriya Work is accomplished by establishing a relationship between the doer and the Guruji and karma is not lost. I am not in favour of any type of recorded pooja, such as “Shivaratri, birthday and Shardhsankap,” because there is no connection between doer and Gurujis. It is better to do pooja ourselves.

Mantra means, (मन जिस के साथ हो) where the heart is connected. I believe live pooja is better, where the doer and Guruji is connected through science.

Karma should not be omitted. But Karmas such as Tenth, Eleventh, Sapindi, Uttam Shodashi, Narayan Bali etc., seem to be difficult and hard work to be done through mobile or computer. These Kriyas should be done by the help of Kashmiri Karm-Kand Bramaji.

I got few messages from within as well as outside India, they appreciated this idea. Some people told me that if it becomes possible whole Kashmiri Pandit community will be benefited.

I request my community brothers to come forward. Help and save our rituals, cultural, language and dharma for our future generations.
